Student Representatives

Student Representatives

Students participate in the governance of the University at various levels and are represented on a wide range of University committees, such as the Council, the Senate, Faculty Boards, Committee on Student Affairs, etc.

The Centre of Development and Resources for Students (CEDARS) provides an office for exclusive use by student representatives and holds briefing sessions for in-coming student members on University committees to ensure that they are informed of the particular aspects of work they will be involved in. A full set of committee manual and committee papers are available for student's reference at the Centre of Development and Resources for Students (CEDARS) and at the Fong Shu Chuen Amenities Centre. The Centre of Development and Resources for Students (CEDARS) also provides clerical and typing assistance when required as well as assistance in the collection of information and in the preparation of committee papers on request. Student representatives are encouraged to make good use of this service to maximize their effectiveness as members on University committees. The booklet 'Information for Student Representatives on University Committees' is available for reference.
