| Summary 內容: | 「唱盤正在播放的，早已是上世紀的回憶，然而房間裏的四人卻像被什麽誘使般，各自拿起身旁的樂器，開始為那懷舊的音韻而變得「爵」迷......」 Rootless Voyagers 由琴手Joshua Lam、鼓手Eaton Lam、低音大提琴手Nelson Fung、結他手Brian Mok組成，希望以四重奏形式探索並表達出四人對爵士樂的詮釋。「拔爵尋根」將會是樂隊首次公開演出，除了會演奏多首爵士樂標準曲目外，他們還準備了幾首風格截然不同的曲目，藉此表現樂隊成員如何將爵士樂融合於其他音樂種類内。另外，樂隊成員亦希望在現今社會中透過爵士樂追尋各自的人生方向。 “The spinning vinyl on the turntable conjures up memories of a forgotten time, yet four individuals found themselves captivated by these “swinging” sounds of the past..." Rootless Voyagers features pianist Joshua Lam, drummer Eaton Lam, double bassist Nelson Fung and guitarist Brian Mok. Originally, the four players are all members of Kong U Big Band. Yet, they have a strong desire to explore jazz beyond the orchestrated format of a big band. Hence, they decided to form a quartet in order to seek for a space where they can express their own vision of the music. In their first ever recital, the band will perform their interpretations of different jazz standards. Moreover, they will include a few other numbers that display the band's ability to integrate their jazz influence with other music genres. Through this performance, the band hopes to reflect not only on their own musicianships, but also their place in today’s world.
