HKU ‘82 Alumni Green Fund

Applications are invited from full-time students and staff of the University of Hong Kong (on an individual or a group basis) for the captioned fund, which supports projects that are aimed at:
  • enhancing public engagement, especially participation of primary and secondary school students, in global warming through programmes organised by students of the University;
  • training leaders of tomorrow with commitment to sustainable development;
  • supporting the University and its students in establishing their leading position in advocating sustainable development.

Applications can be submitted on an individual or a group basis. The maximum amount to be granted to each application is HK$50,000. Projects involving a substantial number of target participants (i.e. public, primary and/or secondary school students) can be considered for a grant exceeding the ceiling.

This grant is sponsored by The HKU Class of ‘82 graduates with the aim of celebrating its silver jubilee with a good social cause. It supports projects related to the theme of “Global Warming”.

Upon completion of the project, students are required to share their findings and outcomes with students of HKU and the public.
