Professor Lord Nicholas Stern

Professor Stern is a renowned expert on both economic development and climate change. Formerly Chief Economist of the World Bank and Head of the UK Government Economic Service, he is currently special adviser to the Group Chairman of HSBC. He also serves as the IG Patel Professor of Economics and Government heading the India Observatory within LSE’s Asia Research Centre, and Chairman of the new Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment.
