Joanne Shen | In English and Cantonese with English subtitles This is about eighty-year-old Tseng Tso-Choi, the self-styled "King of Kowloon", who believes he has an ancestral right to Kowloon and has spent decades in poverty writing about this on the streets of Hong Kong. Using a calligraphy brush, he attacks the public surfaces of Hong Kong with a litany of historical and personal names. Filmed on the eve of Hong Kong's historical handover, this documentary offers a glimpse at a pivotal moment in history and laden with questions about identity - both personal and political. 曾灶財，七十八歲，在九龍街頭繪畫書法已有四十多年。自封九龍皇帝的他是一位使大家極感興趣的市民，縱使昔日的怨恨，精神上的殘疾，曾對保護自己的表達方法在於筆墨之上，同時他亦自信是九龍這片土地的唯一合法繼承人。 《九龍皇帝》是一部長達半小時的紀錄片，講述有關曾的生平和他生活中的城市，從街頭訪問中至與曾坦白的討論他本人，本片探討了他書法後，幽默和感人的故事。 攝製歷時一年的《九龍皇帝》是首部全片深入探討這永不忘掉和獨特的人，本片大部份用廣東話拍攝。本片是電影制作人馬田依近和沈瓊安在香港工作一年多的處女作。 本片曾獲第四屆ifva比賽紀錄組優異獎。 Out of Tune 2016 | 18 min | Dir.
