| Summary 內容: | The two distinguished styles in the Mongolian traditional art of singing, Long Song (長調) and Throat Harmony (呼麥), are included on UNESCO’s register of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Long Song is known for the long duration of each syllable of the lyrics, while Throat Harmony refers to the unique technique whereby a single performer produces a harmony of multiple parts, including a bass sound made in the throat. In this event, Mongolian artists will perform a number of excerpts and the characteristics of the singing styles will be introduced.
