Summary 內容: Based on Chang Jin-Lee’s, a Korean-born visual artist based in New York City, research since 2007 in Asiameeting comfort women survivors and a former Japanese soldier from W.W.II, the exhibition COMFORT WOMEN WANTED involves ad-like prints and multichannel video installation. This project promotes awareness of comfort women and brings to light a history which has been largely forgotten and denied.  In the workshop, the artist will share her arts and research about comfort women, and discuss on issues related to women's rights and identity.

韓裔美籍藝術家李昌珍自2007年以來,在亞洲探訪慰安婦倖存者和前二戰日本軍人,進行研究和創作。本《慰安婦招募》展覽揭示亞洲婦女在二戰期間被強迫成為性奴隸的記憶,藉此令人們更關注婦女在戰爭期間所面對性暴力。藝術家將於工作坊分享她的藝術和關於慰安婦的研究,並與參加者探討婦女身份和權力等議題。
 
Fee: $80 (including a deposit of $50)
