「佛教」和「科學」看似互不相干，然而它們背後卻貫穿着某種相同概念。唸理學出身的香港理工大學榮休校長潘宗光教授是知名科學家，近年潛心佛學，他對「佛教」和「科學」之間的關係有着一種獨特的參透。
這個全新佛教概念通識講座，內容包括四個主題：
(一) 佛教的核心思想
(二) 科學家在「量子力學」、「相對論」及「弦論」的基礎上對宇宙的理解
(三) 科學與佛教的關係
(四) 如何做一個快樂自在的人
Seemingly, Buddhism and Science are two different realms. How do they share similar views when they are each in search of the truth? Prof. Poon Chung-kwong, the former President of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, who is also a scientist will share with you his insights into the relationship between Science and Buddhism.

Bio of Instructor(s) 導師簡介:
潘宗光教授 Prof. Poon Chung Kwong GBS, PhD, DSc, JP
潘宗光教授投身大學教育40載，在2009年1月榮休以前，擔任香港理工大學校長長達18年，亦曾為香港大學化學系講座教授兼理學院院長。潘教授現時致力其於2005年與太太及好友一同創辦之精進慈善基金工作，並擔任會長一職，基金目的為資助中國內地經濟有困難的年青人在國內完成本科課程，每年資助600名學生並幫助他們在人格品德方面的成長，以期為國家培育人才略盡綿力；同時，他亦擔任多個佛教團體之名譽顧問，身體力行，弘揚佛法。
