Some consider graffiti as art, and some call it vandalism. The word originates from Greek, γράφειν — graphein — meaning 'to write'. It is about expressing opinions through a pure form of artistic rendering of words and images. Some graffiti works express political messages, satirically critiquing authority and injustice. Throughout the years, graffiti has increasingly gained recognition for its artistic value as a form of public art, and has also deeply intertwined with hip hop culture.
Twelve years ago the 'First Graffiti artist in Asia', MC Yan, created a graffiti wall at the GE May Hall office, blending the styles of east and west. Today, Yan will return and lead students to co-create another visionary graffiti wall in the corridor of our new Gatherland, located in Pao Siu Loong Building.
塗鴉究竟是藝術抑或破壞公物？追溯詞義，原來「Graffiti」源自希臘文γραφειν (graphein)，意指「書寫」；書寫所思所想，並非亂畫一通。晦暗巷弄裏的一幅彩色塗鴉，可能帶着作者對當權者及社會不公義的控訴。發展至今，塗鴉在一定程度上被視為街頭藝術，而且是嘻哈文化的重要元素。
12年前，「亞洲塗鴉第一人」MC仁曾為通識梅堂辦公室外的走廊創作一幅中西合璧的塗鴉牆，12年後，MC仁將再度回歸，與同學一起在新Gatherland走廊上創作全新意念的塗鴉牆。

MC仁曾留學法國七年修讀視覺造型藝術，是經典組合LMF（大懶堂）之主音之一。他亦是華人Hip Hop界粵語翹舌活動的活躍人物，曾與不少世界各地的嘻哈創作人均有合作。他同時亦為亞洲塗鴉界早期的先鋒份子， 作品曾被時代雜誌等媒體所報道，2012年更與史上最早的塗鴉大師Fab 5 Freddy 合作名為KungFu Wildstyle 的畫展。其近年所創立的品牌 「宁死不屈Ning Si Bu Qu 」以及獨立音樂單位「福建音樂Fu©Kin Music」，繼續透過不同平台對當前事物作出反思。此外，他於2008至2014年亦創辦一個獨立創意網台radiodada.hk，為香港以至海外的非主流創意文化、獨立音樂，提供一個公平開放的華文交流討論平台。此外，MC仁亦於2014年秋天推出其個人專輯《自行判斷Judge By Self》。
