從六七暴動、七十年代的中文運動、保衛釣魚台運動、八十年代爭取立法局直選，以至近年的保衛天星皇后及反高鐵事件，你對社會運動知道多少？今天有香港人認為社運是「搞事」和「激進」的行為，亦有人認為它是爭取社會公義的有效方法。無論你對社運有何想法，在分析判斷之前，曾否認真了解社運的來龍去脈？
本課程邀請不同年代的社運人士和資深時事評論員，探討社會運動的歷史與發展，透過分析不同運動的背景、議題及對香港的影響，讓同學更了解現今社會上的相關現象。
Every important social movement may shake our memory about the society. Should the movement be constructive or destructive, it is essential for every informed citizen to find out how it matters and the motives behind the movement. From demagogue to revolution, passion to action, social activists and veteran commentators of various generations will review the history of social movement in this 4-part course. Interesting cases ofHong Kongand other parts of the region will be discussed.

世界左翼運動概況
講師：梁國雄先生 Mr. Leung Kwok Hung
長毛梁國雄1956年出生，為國際共產主義者，向來反殖民地統治。反對中共一黨專政。支援工人及弱勢社群抗爭；因此曾四次被港英和特區政府判處入獄。自2000年始，長毛參選新界東立法會議席，04年高票當選；06年與黃毓民及民間團體組織社會民主連線(LSD)。10年發起五區公投運動，就香港的政制發展讓市民公開投票。

內地社運對香港的影響
講師：劉銳紹先生 Mr. Lau Yui Siu
從事新聞工作三十多年，曾任《文匯報》駐北京辦事處主任、香港《當代》雜誌副總編輯。現為香港商業電台中國政經節目主持人，並先後擔任香港新城電台《發展新大陸》節目主持人、香港有線電視中港事務顧問及加拿大中文電台評論員等。專欄著作見於《蘋果日報》劉銳紹專欄、《經濟日報》中港政情專欄、《東方日報》中港筆通及《星島日報》、《明報》、《新報》中港評論專欄。

講師：馮檢基太平坤士 Mr. Frederick Fung Kin-kee, JP
馮檢基先生畢業於英國百拉福大學社會政策及公共行政學系，現任香港立法會和深水埗區議會議員。他是香港民主民生協進會政務部部長及民協社會服務中心主席，公共職務包括平等機會委員會政策及研究專責小組召集人和策略發展委員會委員。

社運新世代
講師：朱凱迪先生 Mr. Chu Hoi Dick
朱凱迪一九九九年畢業於香港中文大學，曾任報章編輯及國際新聞記者。零六年起介入本地環境運動，零九年初與友人成立菜園村支援組，支援石崗菜園村村民反迫遷抗爭。今年年中加入地區運動連結組織「土地正義聯盟」，負責地區組織及研究工作。
