GE2011-10
While achieving serenity from exploring the cave at the sea cliff, rock climbing along the coast, camping in the field, have you ever wondered you are actually causing disturbances to the nature that go beyond the trash and food droppings you leave behind? In this course, participants will learn essential knowledge and skills for lessening the physical and social impacts of their outdoor activities as well as share a commitment to preserve our natural areas for future generations.
The course will include one seminar and a two-day-one-night camping originally designed for teachers, social workers, hikers, educators and outdoor-related workers. Professor L.S. Chan, the speaker of our "Tracing the Stories of Rocks" series over the last 8 years, will team up with the Leave-no-trace Educators in a wild training camp to guide you how to 'leave no trace' while enjoying the outdoors. Participants will receive the certificates issued by Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics, upon satisfactory completion of the course and publication of a small student journal under guidance.
Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics
