Organic Urban Farming: A Farm-to-Table Experience
As the environment takes centre stage, and food safety and security concerns grow, Urban Farming is becoming a global trend. During this workshop, you will learn how to grow your own vegetables and herbs in small spaces. With new friends, you will acquire new skills and share the joy of harvesting your own organic carrots, tomatoes, basil, and much more. Over the four sessions at the HKU Rooftop Farm and Herb Garden, we will cover the basic knowledge and skills you need: from germinating seeds, watering and fertilising plants, growing the right plants for the season, to organic methods for dealing with pests. In our final workshop, we will harvest and celebrate with a delicious farm-to-table meal made with the vegetables you have grown!
