Films of Youth 青春光影
遊覽過城市風光，跌入過「沉迷電影」的深淵；今學期，一同透過電影走進青少年世界，探討何謂「青春」。青春片大多描寫青少年高低起伏的成長歷程，尤其是紊亂的人際關係。種種衝突與掙扎令我們成長，也會令我們感到惘然若失。十月，我們邀請您分享一齣代表自己年少時代的電影，在Filmatic留下寶貴回憶。動畫一向受青少年歡迎，但並非齣齣如是。這次我們挑選不以青春為題的動畫，嘗試反過來從中探討人與青春的命題。最後，電影馬拉松將會放映一系列史力加電影，思考此系列如何影響不同世代的年青人，釐清史力加與Z世代謎米文化之間的關係。
This semester let’s savour the taste of youth with films that describe young people, that are targeted at them, and that shape them.
Coming-of-age films illustrate the highs and lows of young people, specifically in the course of getting in touch with their peers and families. These conflicts and struggles often bring growth and knowledge, but at times lead to trauma and loneliness.
Things then get interactive as we invite you to bring us a film that has shaped your youth, or one that signifies your youth, and share with us a piece of your personal memories.
Animation – the type of film that is conventionally appealed to youngsters, yet sometimes that isn’t the case. To mix things up a bit, we attempt to subvert the stereotypes by scouting for animations that are not meant for youth, and see how they bring out, or drag down, the youth in people.
Finally, we finish things strong with a Shrek movie marathon, exploring the appeal of the movie franchise to different generations of youth and understanding how this green ogre has become a prominent part of Generation Z’s ever-growing meme culture.
