人與大自然關係密切，但城市人太忙碌而且習慣方便快捷的生活，很多時忽略了環境和天氣的轉變，甚至不知時令食材。學習有機種植不但可以重建與自然的聯繫，更會了解我們的消費模式如何影響日常生活的碳足印。善用空間，城市人也能夠品嚐自己親手栽種的有機蔬菜。參加課程除了學習基本的種植技巧，更會與社區人士分享收成，實踐「從農田到社區」的理念。
香港大學天台農莊自2013年成立以來，為師生提供有機栽培課程及種植空間，讓大家在校園內享受種植的樂趣。參加者將獲分配種植箱，在課程期間作為學習之用，完成課程後亦可加入義工隊，參與農莊的日常運作。
We city people live so remotely from nature that we forget our inseparable bond. We live our hectic lives with too much focus on convenience, forgetting how our food is sourced and losing track of the seasons. Organic farming reconnects us and helps us learn from nature. It also reminds us of how our consumerist behaviour affects the environment. Creative use of urban space allows city people to enjoy the bliss of growing our own food and eating organic, fresh produce. In this programme, participants will not only learn basic farming skills but also share their harvest with community members.
Established in 2013, the HKU Rooftop Farm provides organic farming workshops and farming space for students and staff to spread the joy of growing our own food. Workshop participants will be allocated a planter to apply the skills learned and they can also join our farming team and help out with the farm’s daily tasks.

Each participant will be allocated a planter at the HKU Rooftop Farm for their learning exercises and participants may visit the farm at specific daily timeslots during the programme.
Quota: 20 (10 for students and 10 for staff)
Language: Cantonese supplemented with English

Bio of Instructor(s) 導師簡介:
Mr. Wong Yu Wing 黃如榮先生黃如榮，綽號「田中之子」，為歐羅有機農場負責人，擁有50年農耕經驗，積極推廣本地有機農業發展，不論在培育新進農夫，或在市場推廣上都不遺餘力，他參與發起多項計劃及團體，包括：大江埔村農田復耕計劃、香港有機生活社、歐羅有機共同體（社企）及香港農墟平台等。
