GE2021-19
While the pandemic remains a part of our every-day lives, growing our own food at home has much to offer during these difficult times. Growing a small pot of herbs or vegetables at home helps us to relieve stress and learn about sustainable lifestyles. Connect with other growers and showcase your creativity. The first two rounds of the #HKUGrowFoodatHome Challenge, launched in the past semesters, have received overwhelming responses from our student community.
On top of the all-in-one growing kit and the vegetable/herb seedlings, we have added microgreens in this round of challenge to cater the needs of students who don’t have enough sunlight at home. Experts’ explanations and briefings, and community support throughout the growing process will be provided as well. Join our challenge to let your plants, your mind and body, grow and flourish.
Selected photos of plants will be featured in our social media. Participants who best record their crop-growing journey or use their homegrown crops in their cooking will be rewarded with a pack of herbs/ a bottle of dried herbs from our HKU Edible Spaces!
