今學期，Filmtastic 電影社將繼續為同學提供一個分享電影的平台，召集一班熱愛電影的同學每星期會面，以「電影『說』的話」為主題，討論電影如何以光、影、聲去展現文字的張力。社員將挑選一部喜歡的小說改編電影，與同學分享並引導討論。
Movie adaptation always comes in mind when we talk about films. From Harry Potter to Pride and Prejudice, nearly all genres of text stand the chance of being transformed into films. What do movie adaptations mean to you? Do movie adaptations ruin everything, or do they bring brand new perspectives?
This semester, CEDARS-GE and student curator will continue to organise Filmtastic Movie Club – a club for cinephiles to meet every week to discuss and share the films they love. Under the theme “All about Movie Adaptations”, Filmtastic is inviting you to share your choice of movie, which is adapted from novels or written works, and host a discussion among club members.
