Summer Opera: I live for art, I live for love
While many university curriculums tend to overlook the importance of exploring classical art forms like opera, we believe it is essential to broaden our horizons. That's why we have curated an extraordinary series of sessions, designed to ignite enthusiasm and appreciation for opera among all students, whether seasoned opera aficionados or newcomers to this genre.

After a successful launch of the Opera Soiree series in the 1st semester 2023-24, we continue with our exploration of the (Western) operatic art form this summer in the opera verismo tradition. We will be screening two of the most loved, and most performed, operas by the Italian composer Giacomo Puccini:

Session#1 Tosca (15/6, Sat, 14:30 – 18:00)
A tale of political intrigues and evil villains, mixed with a fiery love affair ending with tragedy in Rome at the dawn of the 19th century. It also features some of the most loved of all opera arias, including Vissi D’arte –

Session#2 La Boheme (27/6, Thu, 18:00 – 21:00)
