Vegetarian Food Tour and Cooking Workshop
On this two-hour vegetarian food journey, you will explore different vegetarian and vegan food options around HKU area (including Shek Tong Tsui, Sai Ying Pun and Sheung Wan)! No matter you are a vegetarian who are looking for new foodie hot spots or meat-lover who wants to change your eating habit little by little, you are always welcome to know more about the variety of vegetarian cuisine.
 
The route of our food tour includes:
  • Meet up in HKU, then head to a Chinese vegetarian restaurant located at Shek Tong Tsui to taste the vegetarian snacks;
  • Then go to Sai Ying Pun to taste vegan cakes/desserts;
  • Get to know more about a plant-based eatery and retail chain in Sheung Wan;
  • Lastly come back to HKU BIJAS for a vegetarian spring roll cooking workshop!

Howard LingMr. Ling Ho Wan Howard MH 凌浩雲先生
Howard Ling is the Chief Consultant of Social Enterprise Business Centre - Hong Kong Council of Social Service. Howard began his social entrepreneurial journey in 2004. He founded over 30 social enterprises such as Chappie HK Artificial Intelligence Education Service, LINKSWORK Consultation Service, Harvester, Happy Veggies, BIJAS, Ateen, Goodnuts, Happy Ours, tfvsjs, Angelchild bakery factory, Jajambao food truck, and TT Veggie at The Education University of Hong Kong, and The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. He also serves as a consultant or advisor to many foundations, and education institutions in Hong Kong and Macau. He was awarded the Medal of Honour (MH) by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR), and the Hong Kong Humanity Award in 2017 for his dedicated public and community services, particularly his contributions to the development of social enterprises.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Illinois, a Master degree in Business Administration from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, and graduated from INSEAD Social Entrepreneurship programme.
