Serve 2Gather Care for Carer Progarmme – Home Visits
Behind many elderly persons in Hong Kong stands an
invisible hero, the family carer. In our rapidly ageing society, these devoted
individuals often go unnoticed. Across Hong Kong, nearly 40% of carers are
themselves aged 65 or above. Many dedicate over 12 hours each day to
caregiving, and an estimated 1.05 million carers are supporting more than one
person.
Care for Carers will give you a meaningful learning opportunity to
experience the realities of caregiving first-hand. You will also act to provide
practical support and assistance to carers while develop a deeper respect for
these “unsung heroes” and their invaluable contributions to society.
