Be a GLOCAL Connector: Help New Students Thrive at HKU!

Become a GLOCAL Connector and help non-local new students adapt to university life at HKU! We are seeking friendly and dedicated students who meet the following criteria:

• Open to all current full time local and non-local students, both undergraduate and postgraduate
• Reliable and committed
• Passionate about making friends with students from around the world
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

As a GLOCAL Connector, you will serve from August 2026 - April 2027. Your responsibilities will include:

• Being accessible to answer inquiries from new non-local undergraduates and share your own experiences of campus life
• Participating in a briefing/training session in August/September
• Participating and organizing gatherings with the new students throughout the year
