Discover the innovation of China’s “Silicon Valley”—Hangzhou, a leader in AI, robotics, and e-commerce. Join our 4-day Technology and Culture Trip from 9 to 12 March 2026!
Tentative Itinerary Highlights:
- Alibaba HQ (阿里巴巴): E-commerce and cloud computing innovations
- Zhijiang Lab (之江實驗室): Interactive VR tech demos
- West Lake (西湖) Cruise and Leifeng Pagoda (雷峰塔)
- Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum (浙江省非物質文化遺產館): Traditional handicrafts such as cold porcelain, incense making, embroidery, and silk umbrellas
- Liangzhu Archaeological Site (良渚古城遺址) or National Version Museum (杭州國家版本館): Ancient civilization & light displays
- Impression West Lake《最憶是杭州》: Spectacular water & light show

Trip Details
Dates: 9–12 March 2026 (Reading Week)
Language: English
Open to: Full-time students, aged 18-34, local and non-local students who are holders of HK Identity Cards
Cost: HK$2,000 (incl. airfare via Cathay Pacific, accommodation, visits, meals, travel insurance and local transport)
Deposit: HK$2,000 (returned upon successful programme completion; non-refundable in case of cancellation under any circumstances)
Programme Completion Requires:
- Pre-departure Briefing: 6 March 2026, 4:30 pm – 5:30 pm, HKU
- Full trip participation: 9 to 12 March 2026
- Post-trip meeting and team presentation: 13 March 2026, 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm, HKU
- Feedback survey
- Individual learning journal (300 words) by 15 March 2026
- Adherence to conduct standards
Selected sharing, photos or videos of participants will be shared with CEDARS, HKU, Education Bureau, and others.

Home and Youth Affairs Bureau (HYAB)
The HYAB is dedicated to promoting youth development by:

The Home and Youth Affairs Bureau released the Youth Development Blueprint, outlining the overall vision, concrete actions, measures, and guiding principles for the Government's long-term youth development work in the future, and take the lead to co-ordinate with the relevant policy bureaux/departments for the implementation of the Blueprint.
