Please login HKU Moodle using your HKU Portal account. Search by Moodle course ID “CISS002” or the course name “Important Tips and Information for New Interntional Students (Aug 2026)”.

You are encouraged to take a 1-min fun quiz on the contents of these materials for fun. 50 students who have completed the quiz will be selected randomly to receive a small gift from CEDARS. Selected participants will receive an email from CEDARS by the end of October 2026.

Anti-Scam Hub

Scams targeting students have surged in recent years, with many losing significant amounts of money.

Common scams include: Pretend government officials, online shopping fraud, fake job/investment schemes.

Take action now:
þ Complete the Hong Kong Police Anti-scam (MCQ) quiz on Moodle within two weeks of the semester’s start to learn the tips to recognize and avoid scams.
þ Study the resources on
