SEN Support
HKU supports students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), such as physical or sensory disabilities, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, specific learning difficulties, mental health conditions, and chronic illnesses. Our role is to collaborate with you to identify needs, arrange reasonable accommodations, and ensure equitable access to learning and campus life.
What is SEN?
SEN refers to a range of conditions that may affect learning and participation. Each student’s experience is unique; support is tailored following an intake discussion.

- Assistive technology: screen readers, speech-to-text tools, ergonomic equipment, and accessible formats for teaching materials.
- Counselling and peer support: confidential counselling, wellbeing workshops, and peer programmes to build study strategies and resilience.
