Catering: Opening of Ho Tim Hall Restaurant and Jockey Club Student Village II Restaurant

We are pleased to announce that the contract for the operation of the Ho Tim Hall Restaurant and the Jockey Club Student Village II Restaurant was awarded to Asia Pacific Catering Corporation Ltd.  This is an interim arrangement for these two sites from now on until May 31, 2018.  The opening hours of the restaurants are listed as follows:-

Ho Tim Hall Restaurant

Commencement: August 28, 2017 (Monday)
Location:  Jockey Club Student Village I
Opening Hours:  11:30 a.m. – 8:30 p.m. (Mon – Fri); CLOSED (Sat, Sun & Public Holidays)

Jockey Club Student Village II Restaurant

Commencement: August 21, 2017 (Monday)
Location:  Jockey Club Student Village II
Opening Hours:  11:30 a.m. – 8:30 p.m. (Mon – Fri); CLOSED (Sat, Sun & Public Holidays)

Catering: Menu Price Adjustment - Chong Yuet Ming Amenities Centre Restaurant (Maxim's Food²) and Halal Food Corner (Ebeneezer's Kebabs & Pizzeria) 

The University has approved the request of Maxim's Caterers Limited and Harcourt International Ltd. for upward menu price adjustment of the Chong Yuet Ming Amenities Centre Restaurant (Maxim's Food²) and the Halal Food Corner (Ebeneezer's Kebabs & Pizzeria) respectively.  The effective date of adjustment and the menu with new pricing are as follows:-

Dear Students and Colleagues,

Closure of Union Restaurant on June 11, 2017 (Sun)

The Union Restaurant located at 4/F Haking Wong Building will be CLOSED on June 11, 2017 (Sun) for urgent repairing of drain pipes.  The restaurant will resume normal operation on June 12, 2017 (Mon). Users may consider using other catering facilities opening on June 11, 2017 as alternatives.

2. Termination of Catering Service at the Ho Tim Hall Restaurant and Jockey Club Student Village II Restaurant

Due to persistent unsatisfactory service performance, the University had made a decision to terminate the catering contract signed with Super Fame (Hong Kong) Ltd., the current operator of the restaurants at the Jockey Club Student Village I and II (i.e.  Ho Tim Hall Restaurant in Village I and Hill View Restaurant in Village II).  The last dates of operation by the current caterer are as follows:-

Ho Tim Hall Restaurant (Banquet Hall) – May 31, 2017

Jockey Club Student Village II Restaurant (Hill View Restaurant) – June 9, 2017

The University is now working on the search of suitable Caterer(s) to continue the catering service.  Please stay tuned to our announcement for update.

1. Special opening hours of campus catering outlets during Chinese New Year holiday 2017

Please refer to HERE for the opening hours of campus catering outlets during Chinese New Year holiday. Colleagues in University offices may put up the information on your notice board as appropriate.

2. Menu price adjustment – Café 330 

The University has approved the request of New Life Support Enterprises Ltd. for upward menu price adjustment of Café 330 located at 2/F Chong Yuet Ming Amenities Centre.  The new pricing would be effective on February 1, 2017 (Wednesday).  Please refer to HERE for the menu with new pricing.
