10 -11 Aug 2024 9:30a.m. - 6:30p.m. HKU campus	Student Body Registration and Hall Information Day	New students will have the opportunity to explore campus, meet their fellow classmates, and learn about academic planning through visits to their respective faculty and academic societies. They can also join diverse interest clubs and attend student-led orientation activities. Additionally, students are encouraged to visit information booths and join hall tours for both residential and non-residential halls. Duties # (please see the note at the bottom)	Zoom Briefing Session: 8 Aug @ 3:00p.m. - 4:00p.m. *Event day:** 10 Aug @ 8:15a.m. - 5:15p.m. 11 Aug @ 8:15a.m. - 5:15p.m. (Honorarium excludes lunch hours) (12 Aug is reserved as back up event date in case of adverse weather.)*
28 Aug 2024 10:00a.m. - 11:00a.m. Lee Shau Kee Lecture Centre	Inauguration Ceremony for New Students	This is the University's formal welcome to all first-year students at which new students will meet the principal officers and senior academics of the University. The Inauguration Ceremony also consists of a Robing Ceremony which signifies the official induction of the new students to the University family. All new students are expected to attend. 20 - 31 Aug, 1, 7 & 8 Sep 2024 4-5 hours per tour Various places in HK	Weeks of Welcome (WoW) Tours	A series of fun, fact-finding local tours led by student hosts to help new non-local students to immerse themselves in Hong Kong culture, explore the city, and connect with their peers. Duties: 1. Take charge of leading campus and HK tours for new non-local students. 2. Act as a welcoming resource by sharing your personal experiences and knowledge of Hong Kong culture.	Zoom Briefing Session: 14 Aug @ 2:30p.m. - 4:00p.m. Specific dates and time of assigned tours
30 Aug 2024 10:00a.m. – 1:30p.m. Lee Shau Kee Lecture Centre	Orientation Day for Non-local Students	This is an orientation session specially designed for newly arrived non-local students, featuring student performances, informative talks, student sharing, and campus orienteering activities. Duties # (please see the note at the bottom)	Face-to-face Briefing Session: 21 Aug @ 2:30p.m. - 4:00p.m. Event day: 30 Aug @ 8:30a.m. - 1:30p.m.
30 Aug 2024 6:30p.m. - 8:00p.m. Loke Yew Hall	GLOCAL Connector Kickoff	During the ceremony, new non-local students will have the opportunity to meet their Connectors, who will serve as buddies and assist them in adapting to university life at HKU. The event will also include alumni sharing and refreshments for all attendees. Duties # (please see the note at the bottom)	Face-to-face Briefing Session: 21 Aug @ 4:15 p.m. - 5:15p.m. *Event day:** 30 Aug @ 5:30p.m. - 8:00p.m. ( In the event of adverse weather, the Kickoff will be held on 9 Sep.)*

Duties #: Welcome students and guests, serve as ushers, answer enquiries, assist in admission, crowd control and other duties as assigned.
