Description: Yuen Long was once famous for its rice production. However, locally produced rice had disappeared in Hong Kong since the 70s due to the changes in agricultural industry. In this workshop, participants will know more about the history of rice farming in Hong Kong, the relationship between humans and nature through rice farming. We will also make snacks using local rice and tour around the HKU Rooftop Farm before the rice workshop.
