University YMCA® (HKU): Care Connector @ Sham Shui Po (Meal Delivery Services for Single-Living Elderly (English)) (Deadline: 5 October 2016)

(HKU) will engage local and non-local students in packing and delivering free
meals to single-living elderly in Sham Shui Po, one of the main grassroots
neighbourhoods in HK. This is a great chance for you to reach out to the
community!

1. Dates & Time: (1)
Briefing & Community Tour in Sham Shui Po: 9 October 2016 (Sunday, 10:00am
– 4:00pm) (2) Services: 15, 22, 29 October 2016 & 12 November 2016
(Sundays, 4:30pm – 7:00pm)
2. Venue: Sham Shui Po
3. Highlights: Sharing about poverty and underprivileged groups in Hong Kong,
community tour in Sham Shui Po, services and visits to homes of single-living
elderly
4. Eligibility: Full-time local/ non-local (non-Chinese, undergraduate/
exchange/ visiting) students
5. Language: English
6. Fee: (1) Individual applicant: $40/person (2) “Join with a friend” 2-for-1
offer: $20/person for every pair of local & non-local (non-Chinese)
students who apply together
**Deposit of $30/person is applicable and is refundable upon completion of all
activities above.
