Lady Ho Tung Hall

Lady Ho Tung Hall remains as the only female residential hall in the University of Hong Kong since her establishment in 1951. Renowned for her rich historical background, the hall features a modern living environment with an open sea view. The favourable location also brings great convenience to residents as it only takes a 3-minute walk to the nearest campus building. There are 404 residential places in total compromising both single and double bedrooms. The colour yellow represents the hall and the unicorn acts as the hall patron beast.

The spirit of Lady Ho Tung Hall is expressed as ‘Unity, Strive for the Best, Tough and Strong’. The development of teams and groups has been flourishing in Lady Ho Tung Hall, in which there are 13 sports teams, 4 cultural teams, 2 interest groups, 3 social affairs departments and different sub-committees, such as Cultural Sub-committee, Sports Sub-committee and Publication Sub-committee. In addition, members are granted with chances to participate in inter-hall competitions, so as to find their positions and potentials in hall. All hallmates are welcomed to take part in groups, event organizing and leadership roles in different aspects. By providing hallmates with various opportunities, they are allowed to build up their strengths and explore their potentials. Through engaging in hall activities, hallmates are able to develop a stronger bonding with one another, as well as building a sense of belonging to our hall.
