Internal Rules of Posting Publicity Materials on Campus

Internal Rules of Posting Publicity Materials on Campus

1.  In conformance to the established publicity policy of the University and to address the students’ feedbacks on the overwhelming publicity posters on campus, posting on unofficial sites and walls would cease.  Publicity props and posters would only be placed at the designated poster stand sites and other sites with prior approval from the respective authority.

2.  No posting of publicity posters on painted walls should be made.

3.  The following internal posting rules would also apply:

  • No posting on handrails
  • Directional signs could be put up with blue tack on unofficial sites but they must not cause any damages to the surface and they should be removed on the same day
  • The use of roller banners (易拉) should be refrained and the number should be kept to the minimal if they have to be used
  • The size of posters for each activity should not be bigger than 20”x30” on a single notice board.  Bigger posters may be used for major events such as the Non-academic induction and Weeks of Welcome.
  • Posters could be posted two weeks in advance
  • Poster must be stamped with the CEDARS chop with an indicated posting expiry date
  • Posters had to be removed immediately after the event
