Copyright Ownership
• Copyright of all design works / photos/ videos produced by students for CEDARS belongs to CEDARS, unless otherwise agreed.
• Students who designed / produced videos for CEDARS are not allowed to publish related images/ videos via personal/ commercial channels without the permission of CEDARS.
• Terms and conditions for copyright matters with external vendors should be specified by mutual agreement.
Copyright Protection & Permission
• There should be NO copyright infringement for all design works and audio-visual contents in videos.
• Sources and credit lines (if necessary) of design works and audio-visual contents in videos should be specified in the Copyright Declaration Forms.

(iii) Commitment to Sustainability
All printed publications shall have a display of FSC logo (provided by the printer) or a statement of using recycled paper (e.g. “Printed on recycled paper”).

Sections/teams should ensure all publicity materials are error-free.

Green text = via Dean’s Office (Dean’s Office reserves the right to schedule promotions, suggest amendments for text contents to optimise the quality and effectiveness of promotion.)

(i) CEDARS Website
a. Website Content Management System (CMS)
Visit CEDARS CMS to edit the pages as appropriate. Please contact sections/teams admin for granting of access rights and operation details.
b. Homepage Banner
Submit your request by filling in the Online Publicity Request Form with
1. An image (Dimension: 990 x 350 pixels; File size: not exceed 1MB)
2. A URL with details of the news/event
3. A proposed period for posting (Otherwise, the default posting period is 2 weeks)
4. An alternative text for the website banner (English only, shorter than 64 characters)
Requirements of alternative text:
• Be accurate and equivalent in presenting the same content and function of the image
• Do not use abbreviation (e.g. FYE) unless the readers understand what it refers to
• Do not use phrases “image of…” or “graphic of… of…” to describe the image
• Do not use the file format (announcement.jpg) to describe the image

Coming events should be promoted on Central CEDARS Calendar as soon as possible.

CEDARS E-newsletter will be shared to the designated folder in Microsoft Teams on every Monday.

Follow the procedures to add new or edit posted entries.

Amendments and additions
should be posted by 10:00 am Friday.

• Sections/ Teams shall upload all multimedia items (“Items”) to this gallery for internal archive, including official photos, snapshots, videos taken by students/ staff/ working partners, and those for internal reference.
• Do not upload Items of non-official internal private gatherings to this gallery.
• Upon request by Dean’s office, Items of official internal gatherings may be uploaded to this gallery.
