The Government will soon announce the next round of recruitment exercises for the civil service jobs, such as post of Administrative Officer (AO). AOs are multi-disciplined professional administrators tasked to play this important role in the HKSAR Government.
As part of the Job Secret Decoder series, we have invited Dominic Ho from our full-time Class of 2017 to share about his administrative service journey. This is an interactive Zoom session, you are welcome to ask questions after listening to Dominic on tips to get through the coming recruitment examinations and interviews. Join us to hear about:
- What makes civil service unique in terms of career exposure and development?
- The working culture, environment and dynamics within the Government

Speaker: Mr. Dominic Ho
After graduated from HKU with a Bachelor of Social Sciences and a Bachelor of Laws, Dominic joined the Administrative Service, an elite cadre of multi-skilled public administrators in the Hong Kong Government. He has served in different policy bureaux, overseeing a wide array of policy portfolios in transport, broadcasting, and healthcare. He has extensive experience in policy formulation, project management and internal governance. He is also active in voluntary capacities to promote youth development and volunteering.
